Fall is hands-down one of the most anticipated seasons of the year. With football games, holiday gatherings, weddings, and other events, there are so many occasions to get dressed up. As temperatures drop, the season brings rich browns and greens, cozy layers, and of course lots and lots of boots. Dresses & Skirts
Where I live it is almost always weather appropriate to throw on a dress. Personally, I feel the most comfortable in a dress. My favorite combo in the fall is a cute warm colored dress paired with a great pair of knee high boots. As the weather gets even cooler, I’ll throw on a coat or some tights to make it more appropriate.

Tops
Fall is the perfect time to layer up, and the right top can make any outfit instantly seasonal. I’m always opting for items that are timeless and will hold up over the years. Stripes, gingham, denim, and corduroy will always be in style year over year. These are great for mixing and matching with outwear and jeans for the season. I found some picks this year that are already marked down for the season.
Boots & Shoes
Let’s hear it for the boots! They might be the priciest pieces of the season, but a solid pair of leather or suede boots can elevate any outfit and last for years. While some boots hit triple-digit prices, you don’t need to spend a fortune — you just need to know where to look (hint hint: it’s right here!).
Honorable mentions go to Hunter rain boots, cozy brown and cream sneakers, and a fun pair of printed accent flats to mix things up.
Outerwear & Sweaters
This year, I’m loving classic barn jackets, structured tweed jackets, and striped sweaters that add pattern and warmth to any look. Perfect for layering over dresses, tops, or denim, these pieces are versatile staples that will carry you through the season in style. You will get so much continuous wear with these pieces, changing out your layers is the easiest way to keep re-wearing looks.
Bags & Accessories
Of course, no fall outfit is complete without the right accessories. This season, I’m all about cream, warm beige, mocha, and chocolate-brown handbags in leather or suede—classic tones that go with everything. For jewelry, I love mixing metals in the fall; it creates that perfect brassy, layered look that feels effortless and seasonal.
