Spring Shoe Edit | Sweet Savings & Thinks

Spring is officially here, and so are the shoes. But with so many cute options, how do you pick the right pair? Don’t worry — I’ve got you covered. I try to be mindful when I am building my closet out; how often will I wear this, how many years will this last, is this color something that will match my attire? I have found that the perfect blend of staples & trendy items work really well for me. There are so many great new spring arrivals, let’s break it down!

Staple – Every closet needs tried & true staples. I think of these items as low effort, items that don’t take much mental effort to grab for. Think your comfortable sandals & sneakers that can work with any style or color. Just because these items tend to be more neutral and less frills does not mean you have to sacrifice on style.

Whimsical/Trendy – I think of this category as my statement piece items. I live by the principal that every outfit needs one statement piece. These are the shoes you throw on with a summery plain dress, or when your outfit needs a little pizzazz. Fun accents, flowers, eccentric colors, and beading all make the most magical whimsical touch. I try to make sure to have a handful of these pairs on hand in a couple of my favorite colors & neutrals.

Casual/Active – These shoes are what you throw on when you want to run errands, or are having a long day on vacation. Neutral tones, classic silhouettes, and comfy footbeds make the best casual sandals & sneakers. These are the shoes that I would define as supportive, and like chameleons that can blend in with every environment.

Dressy – Date night, or dinner with friends? Spring and summer call for later night outs, and fun vacations. These shoes will elevate your outfit with just the right amount of flair. I will always gravitate towards comfort, even with dressier options. These pairs effortlessly transition from day to night, ensuring style all day long.

Neutral sandals make up about 60% of my closet. I will always gravitate towards picking neutrals, because I know they will hold their style most year over year. I like to fall into the $60 – $200 dollar range for buying sandals, since it is protecting your feet and providing comfort I am more likely to spend a little more, especially on the dressy side. So many of these picks make me absolutely swoon, like the seashell flip flops or pearl embellished dressy flat sandals.

Blue & green is my absolute favorite colors in the spring (well, year round, but they are the most common in spring!) I own & love a lot of these pairs, most of these brands have re-stocked these items from the past couple of years.

Sometimes, a little heel is all you need to elevate your outfit. These shoe picks are not only stylish but also comfortable and supportive. Don’t miss out—some of these are amazing Amazon dupes for high-end designer favorites!

More heels in blues and greens! Think about how gorgeous these colors would be paired with a white dress after a long day in the sun, or a little emphasis for your easter outfit.

The older I get, the more I appreciate my tennis shoes. I am so glad that they have become so trendy and cute over the past couple of years to throw on with a dress. Here are some neutral picks I am totally crushing on. Be sure to click to learn more about these, a lot of these I have bought from Amazon that have the high quality for a lower budget.

Of course I had to throw in some colorful tennis shoes. I love all of these brands, reebok totally reminds me of when I was a little girl. But they are seriously making a comeback — and they are so comfortable!

You can shop this post by clicking on any of the images above, they will take you to my amazon storefront! Best part — all of these shoes are available on amazon for easy & quick shipping.

If you are making a bigger purchase, picking the right shoe can feel totally overwhelming. I hope this post can help you break it down and feel confident with your purchase.
