It’s finally time for my favorite season! Here are a few of the Vacay Style New Arrivals that have caught my eye in the first drop.
Growing up, March was always my favorite month – not only was I born in March, but my birthday always fell over spring break, which meant that my Mom and I would be flying to Florida to spend the week with my Grandparents in Jupiter, Florida. For so much of my life, by mid-February, I would constantly be thinking about warm weather, seafood, breezy beach days, and time spent in the sun with family until the flight out a few weeks later.
Even though I don’t have a spring break anymore, like clockwork, I get an insatiable itch to travel back to the sunshine state every March just in time for what would have been my annual pilgrimage and inaugural pool and beach trip for the year.
You can’t go wrong with a white pareo or sarong, and this eyelet style is perfect for achieving that tropical touch without going overly palm-heavy. The eyelet always reminds me of the general region between Charleston, South Carolina and Palm Beach, Florida – quintessentially Southern, timely and appropriate with Easter around the corner, but versatile enough to last all season long, this eyelet pareo is the perfect accessory to throw over swimwear for a day at the pool or beach.
When I’m looking for a pop of color or daydreaming about a hotel that’s been on my bucket list for years (looking at you The Colony Palm Beach!) this green and white striped sarong immediately jumps to mind. If you’re looking for a personal touch, you can even monogram it!
In 2023, we saw the rise of the “luxury Birkenstock” – that is, a sandal with a similar silhouette to the classic two-strap buckle style from the 1970s, but with a modern, fanciful twist. Now, in 2024, there are so many amazing styles to choose from. This mint green beaded pair are full of intricate details that can either compliment a festive tropical look or stand on their own with a neutral monotone outfit.
Even with the rise in popularity of the subdued golden mini hoop, I still believe that you can’t go wrong with a statement earring. This two-tiered floral pair adds a sweet, feminine touch to any warm weather look, especially around Easter and springtime.
Breezy enough to wear comfortably at home but exotic enough to strut on a tropical night out on the town, this green toile maxi dress is a great versatile option for spring and summer styling. Reviews say it fits slightly oversized, but they wouldn’t size down to accommodate – which to me screams maximum comfort.
